I have to decorate the church pews and the altar. I really did not know what to do at first. I didn't want to spend a fortune on flowers for every pew, and then something for the altar, and then throw it all away.
One evening I was looking around everywhere on wedding sites that might have cute decoration ideas. I came upon this:
If I use ivory and green it could work. No?
And for the altar what about a bunch of baby's breath? I could buy some the day before and just stick them into clear vases.
Did you go through the DIY route for the church decorations?

Our venue includes an outdoor teatro where our ceremony will take place on a large altar (stage looking thing) downstairs from the reception. It is surrounded by beautiful spanish inspired architecture, lush overhanging green trees and potted flowers and fountains. So I really didn't need to do much other than decorate the aisles, which my florist is handling. That said, I love your idea for the baby's breaths. I am usually so not a fan of those but I think when you keep them simple and by their lonesome, they're quite stunning.
I too love the baby's breath! Especially that second picture! I think they will look elegant!
Born to be Mrs. Beaver: My church is right next to a large boulevard...so unfortunately we won't have the luxury of having trees everywhere. You are very lucky!
I might be biased because I'm using it as my centerpieces, but I LOVE BABY'S BREATH! It will look so pretty, you should go for it!
