And They're Off!

The invites are on their way! Here are two "fancy photographs".

Enjoy!

I had gotten a Martha Stewart kit from the Michael's store and got some green stamping ink with a stamp that had cute birds on a branch. We wanted something simple and not too expensive. We didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that was going to be tossed in the recycling bin soon anyways!

Did you go the cheap route for your invitations?

The Back Up Plan

The last time Mr. Ferret went to the reception hall to give in the deposit he spoke to the owner about the decorations. In our contract it said we have the decorations included, but it wasn't exactly specified. Well, Mr. Ferret found out that the decorations on the walls (paintings and such) are indeed included, but if we want centerpieces they only supply fake flowers. Fake flowers feel really...well tacky and dollarama-like to me. So until we meet up with the owner again in February or March I have to make a back-up plan just in case. With my anxieties slowly creeping up on me as much as the wedding date is I have to plan so I can sleep at night. I stress out over silly little details!

I really like the concept of using fruit as centerpieces with candles. It's so fresh!

Imagine these with Baby's breath instead of the yellow flowers?

Maybe we could use daffodils?

Another picture I had saved on my computer for ages...

Do you have any interesting back up plans for your centerpieces?

My Florist ROCKS!

I went to see the florist on Monday with MOH C and BM P and we were pleasantly surprised by what she offered and the prices. Oh the prices!!!

I'm a bargain hunter at heart and I desperately needed a good deal on flowers. I absolutely did not want to pay a fortune for flowers that will wilt and die the next day. My good friend Robyn had fabulous flowers on her wedding day a couple of years ago and she got them at  Boutique Fleuriste Coin Vert.

These are the flowers that I chose:

We have my bridal bouquet, my toss bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 4 bracelets, 1 corsage, 7 boutonnieres, 1/2 a bunch of baby's breath (for the church deco) for 299.12$ tax included.

Holy moly! Seriously. This florist rocks. She even gave us pointers on how to preserve my bridal bouquet.

I might change the 4 bracelets to one and get a total of 4 corsages instead. Eh. Doesn't really matter since I got a heck of a deal and I am thrilled to bits!

Did you get a good deal for you florist?

Silly me I Forgot Something

I'm going to check out the florist this afternoon! As I was making my list of questions to ask the florist, I completely forgot to think of boutonniers/bouts for the guys and some close relatives. OI. I am such a goofball!

Picture I had saved on my computer for a year...don't know where it's from! Imagine this in yellow?

Something simple and not over the top. I'll update after the florist visit from this afternoon.

2010 Resolutions - > DDR

I am back and ready to blog! With all of the holiday fever finally over, I have some time to do what I've been slacking off. --> getting into shape.

You see, back when I was in college I used to hit the arcades a little too often instead of going to class. I got hooked on Dance Dance Revolution and I got my daily exercise that way. I finished college a few years ago so I don't play as often. Also, a lot of arcades have closed down in my area -_-.

I am by no means an expert, so I generally play on standard and heavy mode. I used to play with MOH C back in the day. It has been ages since we've played together! I need to dust off my DDR mat from the closet and start playing again at home.

Here are some of my favorite songs to dance to:

Heavy Mode

I really miss this one! They didn't have it long at the arcades.

Are you a DDR fan? Do you use DDR or the Wii fit to get you into shape?
